National Squad

Eastleigh Aikido Course & Competition 19th + 20th Feb 2005

Each day will comprise instruction in the morning, and competition in the afternoon. Kata will be on Saturday and will comprise koryu-dai-san and randori-no-kata.  Both Tanto and empty-handed Randori-no-kata will be included.  There are no grade restrictions. Doing RnK with tanto or empty-handed is your choice.  Randori will be on Sunday.  Men’s randori is split into high and low level groups.  Again there are no grade restrictions. You decide which group to enter

£20 for complete event; £12 to do half (ie just one day or just the instruction elements)

Basic 15, Part 1 of a course covering the original fifteen techniques. These are featured in the publication written by Senta Yamada Sensei. A requirement of all participants is that they own a copy of the book. "The Ancient Secrets of Aikido". Sessions to be run over three Sunday's 12noon to 4pm.

The course is primarily aimed at beginners as some of the techniques are not used in the current Basic 17, but for those with experience the third session will cover all 15 techniques. This will act as a refresher or memory jog!
